Shortly after buying my Kindle DX, I discovered that the one-pound device becomes tiring to hold during hour-long reading sessions. I was reluctant to lay the DX flat on a desk or table because its smooth back would let it slide around -- especially when the "page turn" button was pressed -- and I was concerned that the sliding would scratch the desk and the back of the DX. I went to my local hardware store and purchased four small rubber stick-on feet, which I affixed to the back of my DX. This solved the sliding problem and mitigated the fear of scratching the desk. But then a second problem arose. Being hunched over, trying to read a Kindle that is laying flat on a desk is, quite literally, a pain in the neck. It was then that I turned to this multi-position reading stand.Twenty dollars seems to be a bit much to spend on a single piece of 6x6-inch molded plastic, but this stand took all the pain out of using the DX for extended periods of time. The stand comes with two sets of stick-on feet: one set rubber, like those I bought at the hardware store, which prevents the stand from sliding; and another set felt, which lets the stand slide a bit without scratching the desk or table upon which it is placed. You just pick the set of "feet" that you want, stick them on to the bottom of the stand, and that's it. (Being stick-on, the feet are not interchangeable, so choose wisely.)The Kindle simply slides into one of two slots on the top of the stand. One slot elevates the Kindle 15 degrees from horizontal -- good for intensive desk work -- and the other slot positions the Kindle 15 degrees from the vertical -- good for sitting back and doing casual reading. The Kindle can be placed in either portrait or landscape orientation in either of the slots. With the exception of the 15 degrees from vertical, portrait orientation, the power cord can be attached to the Kindle while it is mounted in the stand; although you can get around the exception by placing the Kindle in the stand in inverted portrait orientation with the power cord attached.The Kindle must be removed from any cover or case for it to fit into the stand. For me, this was not an issue since I carry my Kindle in a slipcase. Others, who securely mount their Kindle inside a cover or protective case, may find the need to remove the Kindle from the case in order to use this reading stand annoying to the point where they do not want to bother with this stand.The manufacturer, Kradle, provides more detailed specifications for this and other Kindle reading stands on their website; however, this one -- the SQ KA-333G -- seemed to suit my needs the best. Ultimately, despite the price, I bought two of these stands: one for home, and one for the office. They make using my DX very convenient.

I'm happy with this purchase - it's a great deal for the money. The battery life is very long - I use it on my daily 3 hour commute and enjoy watching TV shows, movies and listening to music. The sound quality is very good for such a small player.There are a few items that I don't like and I wish I was aware of. The screen became scratched from the very first day. In fact, the brand new player that I received in the plastic packaging was already scratched! I returned it to Amazon and Amazon immediately sent me a replacement. After a week of carrying it to work in my pocket, it is very hard to see the screen as it quickly becomes scuffed and scratched. I may need to replace it soon as I'm starting to see the scratches instead of my videos. You will also need to convert most of your TV shows movies to a format (mp4 or wmv) that is read by the player. It's not difficult, just a few added steps.My other pet peeve is that the FM radio really doesn't work like it should. It uses the headphone cord as an antenna. Despite living in Las Vegas, where there are dozens of strong FM radio signals, I can't listen to one for very long. The signal fades in and out. I feel like they tried to cram too many features into this little player - I would much rather had an FM radio that worked well than a camera or video/audio recorder that I don't use. Again, for the price that I paid, these are minor issues.If you're looking for a good mp3 player and a small video player with a great price, this is a good buy. Just be careful with the screen, perhaps put it in a case to protect it.

Wish I would have bought one of these when I bought my Reader. Charging it on the computer is such a joke! I bought this and I can not believe they do not sell it with the Reader...what a lame scam to make more money. Seriously I would have paid $20 more for the Reader if it came with this in its original packaging! The cord is nice and long so you have no trouble sitting on the couch reading from the Reader while it is charging (something you can't do when charging through the computer?!). I highly recommend anyone who has a Sony Reader have a wall charger!

This is an excellent cover for the Kindle Touch. First I tried a leather, fold-over cover, and decided I liked the slim, sleek feel of the bare Kindle in my hands while reading. This led to the search for a perfect envelope-style case.The memory foam feels soft, and has plenty of give, but still cushions the device quite well with some "body" to it. I do wish it had a firm (cardboard/plastic) insert on at least one side to further protect the screen, but the foam seems to be doing the job quite well.The lining is a very plush, soft, fuzzy material. It feels quite luxurious (a word I never thought I'd use in a review for a ballistic nylon e-reader case). The first few days, it left black fuzz on the screen every time I took the Kindle out, but that has long since passed. The liner material is a magnet for dust, but nothing I can't live with.The velcro is strong and sure, I have no worries about it coming open unintentionally, even in my briefcase or messenger bag.The only real negative I can think of is the size (and, again, maybe the lack of a firm panel). Even on the Kindle Touch, the fit is a bit loose. I can imagine the $79 Kindle would probably be swimming in this case. But it doesn't seem to affect function so I won't dock it a star just for that.Overall the case is a great accessory for the Kindle Touch, and I feel better knowing my reader is in it than floating around unprotected.

the pin that holds the clip kept falling out, so i had to glue it then i taped it just to make sure it wouldnt fall out again, and the light base is big and bulky and doesnt fit well on my kindle without covering up part of the screen
