I bought the Pandigital for reading ebooks and checking email and Facebook. I also surf the web with it. I updated it right away. I found out you have to have an SD memory card in the card slot, because it saves the updates and downloads there. Then I had to put it into my computer and click on the .exe file to activate the update and return it to the Novel. I like the android apps I can download, although not all of them are compatible with this device, since they are meant for phones. I also like that I can store photos and mp3 music files on it, and I like the word processor app I downloaded from the app store so I can now store and edit documents. I have also read in other reviews (on other sites) that the glass screen breaks if dropped hard. I bought a screen protector and a case to carry it in to protect it. I even downloaded a Bible so I can use it in church instead of carrying my heavy Bible. All in all, I am happy with it.
