The good:It is beautiful! Vera Bradley makes beautiful quality items. The fabric is very nice, and the lining fabric, whatever it is, feels great on your hands to hold while reading. It's soft and it has a handy-dandy pocket which I love because I like to stick things like an ID card and when traveling my boarding pass in the pocket.The weight is great! Very light. Love that! But even though it is light, the front and back pieces are very stiff and sturdy. Just what you need for protecting your screen.The bad: While the cover is very well constructed and feels quite sturdy and light, with my Kindle Touch or my Kindle 4 in it it doesn't close. It gaps open like a clamshell. I will be afraid to toss this in my purse as it would be very easy for a pen or anything loose in the purse to get between the screen and the cover and damage the Kindle. I have uploaded customer images to show how this gaps.To me this is a very big deal which could have been easily solved by some additional R&D. Vera Bradley claims on their website that this cover will also fit a Nook Touch, but they are even 1/2" wider and .03" thicker than a Kindle so the gap would really be bad.As much as I love the pattern and feel of this cover, my Kindle will be going back into its Oberon Leather cover when it leaves the house. I was hoping for something lighter than the leather for my purse, and this Vera Bradley cover seemed to be the perfect answer, but since it gaps open, my Kindle will be wearing its Oberon when it leaves the house, heavy or not. At least I feel it is protected.So while this cover may be what some are looking for, it really doesn't offer the protection I want for my devices.
