When I purchased my Sony e-reader, I thought, fine (*rolling eyes)I'll just plug the thing into my computer every time I need to charge it. Which was kind of a pain, because I'd have to boot up my computer, and change its settings so it wouldn't go to sleep, thereby nulling the USB's ability to charge my e-Reader. I went along like this for about a year, because I didn't want to spend the extra money on a wall charger (yes, I can be a cheapskate sometimes), until one day my USB couldn't charge my e-Reader!I left the e-Reader plugged into my laptop over night, my laptop didn't go to sleep, and in the morning, I still couldn't turn it on. I thought I did something wrong, but upon trying again during the day, still dead e-Reader after 4 hours. I had let the Reader completely die, and there was no turning it back on. The only solution, use a wall charger.After about 2 hours with the wall charger, the e-Reader came to life (much to my relief, I was thinking the thing might have just died permanently). So, if your reader runs completely out of charge, you need a wall charger to revive it. This one works quickly (about two hours faster than using the USB cord, I was averaging 4 hrs to charge my e-Reader via USB, and only 2 hrs on the wall charger...depending on how far the battery was low).This company shipped quickly, I ordered on a Saturday night, and it came by Monday...wrapped securely in it's little box. I would definitely buy from this company again, and the charger works great.

I bought this case for my Kindle Touch when the Kindle Touch Lighted Leather Cover, Black went on back order for two months. I needed a case, but since the light one is ridiculously expensive, I didn't want to spend $40 on a temporary case.Finally, this case popped onto the radar and it was cheap enough I bought it even with zero reviews available.The seller shipped it promptly.When I opened it, there was a slight smell which quickly dissipated.My Kindle Touch slid in easily. It is snug enough the Touch is unlikely to fall out, but it will slide out of position a bit when you push the power button located on the bottom. If you hold the case upside down and shake it, you can get the Kindle to slide out completely, which could be an issue if your toddler "borrows" it.The clasp is a snap, but it is also magnetized, so the cover stays closed even if you don't take the time to snap it.To read I bend the cover back. The first few times the cover was a bit stiff, but now it bends fine and is very light weight, making reading on the Kindle quite comfortable. You cannot use the clasp to hold the cover closed while reading.Is this the best case ever? No.But for under $10 - when all other non-lit cases run $20 to $40 - it is surprisingly nice and perfect as a back-up or light weight option for the Kindle Touch.

I didn't buy mine from Amazon as I couldn't find it on Amazon. I ended up going to my local BestBuy to pick it up. The reviews online were mostly okay except for The Verge which said it was sluggish and basically was down beat on it.I decided to buy it and if I didn't like it I would be returning it. I picked it up around 5:30PM on the 16th of August which is the release date. The first thing I did was get rid of all the widgets that are on the home screens. I suspect those might slow it down. I kept only one widget which is the clock / weather widget. I then downloaded all my favorite apps and began to arrange and configure it the way I wanted it.It comes with Polaris Office, which is better than QuickOffice if you plan to create and edit word docs, Polaris is easier. To view documents and complex excel sheets I find QuickOffice often does the better job. I ed up keep both installed just in case.I installed 14 games on it. All of which perform very well. There are my favorites, like FieldRunners, and newer ones like Final Fantasy, Ski Safari, Nova 3, Osmos HD, Amazing Alex and Zynga poker that I also really like. This quad core eats through anything with ease.Got the latest Google Maps, which is so fantastic on this. You can save a Map so it's available without a data connection. Perfect for these WiFi devices. I'm a fan of the new Google Play movies, music, books and Magazines too. But if you prefer Amazon or Nook, those are available as always. It comes with the B&N Nook Reader by default.There are Galaxy Note 10.1 specific apps like Adobe's PS Touch. I've been using Photoshop since 1996 so I am going to carefully review the built in lessons for PS Touch, a mobile version of Photoshop and see how far I can take that. If you are a subscriber to Adobe's Cloud services you're supposed to be able to edit a PSD with PS Touch, save it to the cloud, and then continue to edit it with Photoshop the desktop app.There is also S Note. S Note and PS Touch are geared to work well with the new Samsung Galaxy S Pen. This was a primary reason for me to be interested in this particular tablet. The S Pen is so accurate that you can hand write whole sheets of handwritten text with it. I didn't try to have it translated into actual text like type written text. I just left it as my handwriting. Really like it.Now this new Note 10.1 also has a new Muli-tasking feature. I should say that it doesn't multitask any app combo you want. Just a few apps blessed by Samsung which are: The base browser, not Chrome, their video player, Polaris Office, the picture gallery and their email app, not the GMail email app. Their email app can be used with POP, IMAP and Microsoft's Exchange via the built in Active Sync. So I tend to use that email client for work email and I use GMail as my personal email client.Now, according to The Verge, multitasking was horrible. Not so fast Verge. I don't know what you guys are doing but I multitask'd just about every way you can on this and it works surprising well. I wrote notes while playing video. I played video while scrolling up and down on a web page. I copied text from an email to S Note, which both apps loaded in the side by side both on the screen simultaneously method. I had no trouble at all.I bought Autodesk's Sketchpad Pro and can draw with that just fine. I also bought Adobe Ideas, but haven't yet played with that at all. Samsung also has their own kind of store and I am going to see if they have more S Pen specific apps. Really like the S Pen a lot. It's exactly like a typical Wacom Stylus. It's sharp, not that horrible eraser head large stylus you get stuck with if you want to use a stylus on the iPad. Although the iPad has Paper by 53, which I wish I had on here.I'm really just getting started. I'll have to update this review over the weekend. Only played with this new tab for about 4 to 6 hours now.Check out Google's Currents for news, and Pocket for saving articles for future reading. Both are great on this tablet. I think all the bases are covered with this tablet. Movies, games, magazines, office and productivity, art creation and editing. It does everything. And since it is Android, you have a real file system which makes email a breeze. Love this thing so far.

I've noticed a few people who reviewed this item here at Amazon.com complaining that the screen cover wouldn't fit or kept falling from the body of the cover. Well, I've received mine yesterday, and, initially, I got a little frustrated, as I had the same problem. But then I started to figure out if I was doing it the right way. And I've found out the answer: I was doing it the wrong way! I was trying to attach the screen cover on the wrong side. It seemed to me at first that I should position the screen cover after having mounted the rest of the cover. This led the screen cover not to attach or fit too much tightly. The right way is to put the screen cover on the inside of the front part facing downwards, and then put your Kindle (faced downwards) on it, then put the back part onto it all and "close" the cover. I've found a video from iPearl explaining how to properly mount it (below I'll show you how to watch this). The video shows the proper order on the mounting of the shell. One thing they didn't focus on the video is the right of the screen cover. There are some very tiny "tabs" that should both the front part of the cover and the screen cover. Try one side, and if it doesn't fit, try the other side. Be aware to the fact that, after having mounted it all, the screen cover won't actually touch the Kindle screen, instead, it'll touch only the very tip of the borders, and will sort of "float" over the Kindle screen itself, though being a little "low-relief" compared to the rest of the cover. I'm not sure if I was clear enough, it seems complicated at first, but in fact it is easier than it seems after you figure out the right way. Hope I could help. As for the video mentioned before, I'm not sure if Amazon allow the posting of links here, but you can easily find it by typing "mCover-Kindle2-InstallGuide.MOV" on YouTube. Mine is a DX-G, the video's a K2, but the principle and the works of it are the same. I am content and satisfied with my cover now.P.S.: The screen cover does have some glare, but that's a fair price to pay for better screen protection. I think the ammount of glare added compares to the actual screen of touch-screen readers such as Sony's.

Arrived quickly, and I was very happy with how it looked!Things to note:- This takes a very small, 5V DC power supply, which is unusual to me.- It is an unsupported Google device = no Play app store, and still can't figure out how to get HBO GO to work on it, and can't get Facebook created app (unless someone tells me where else you can download it from!)- Has a very sensitive power button - last 3 times I've put it in my backpack for use at work, the power button has been hit in transit and I arrive with it drained and unusable. Could probably be remedied by buying a better case than by using the slipcover it comes with.- Back button often exits you out of something, rather than taking you to your last page/position.- Browser, while effective, does not have near the same functionality as the browser on my PC.- Browser feels slow to me, and it's annoying.Other things to note:- Sound quality was surprisingly good for what it is.- Keyboard is awesome and works really well, which surprised me.- Absolutely zero lag in streaming of either music or video - win!!!- You can still do lots of great stuff, like use other social media apps that allow you to view Facebook, or use the browser for it (can't get browser version of HBO GO however, *sad clown face*).- Use Amazon app store for lots of good stuff even if you can't use Google Play app store - the Get Jar app store was surprisingly limited. Might just be the brand new O/S.- Picks up home wi-fi & mobile hotspot (wi-fi from my phone) just great, never had a problem with that!- Renders books really well and is fun to use for reading.Overall, because it is less than half price of any other 10" tablet out there, I will give it a "like" rating and deal with what it doesn't do. But the HBO GO thing was a major blow and the big reason behind losing a whole star. I've heard that they are supposed to be coming out with a new version of the app that I can get to and will work on this O/S, but my fingers are still crossed on that . . .Also, in case anyone from Google is reading this - you majorly effed up by allowing others to license your O/S by NOT also allowing anyone with said O/S's devices to be able to access YOUR CONTENT. Lose move IMHO. Retarded.
